These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Kakeibo regardng your use of our application.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the application. You represent that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction.

2. Description of Service

Kakeibo is a personal finance management tool designed to assist users in tracking expenses and creating budgets solely on their local devices. The application provides tools for data visualization, manual entry, and optional cloud synchronization.

3. Accounts and Registration

To access certain features, you may be required to register an account using a third-party authentication provider (Google or Apple). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and authentication credentials.

4. User Data and Ownership

Ownership

You retain full ownership rights to the data you enter. We claim no intellectual property rights over your financial data.

Responsibility for Backup

Because Kakeibo does not store your financial data on our servers, you are solely responsible for maintaining backups (e.g., via Google Drive sync). We cannot recover data lost due to device failure.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Free Tier: Access to core expense tracking and manual entry.
  • Premium Tier: Paid subscriptions grant access to AI-assisted parsing and unlimited analytics.
  • Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled 24 hours before the end of the billing period.
  • Refunds: Handled exclusively by the respective application store (Apple App Store or Google Play) per their policies.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kakeibo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the application.
